1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files saved in your browser when you visit a site. Searcher currently uses only the cookies and browser storage that the service needs to work.
2. Cookies we use
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookies (authentication infrastructure) | Keep you signed in and secure the session | For the session and until refreshed | Strictly necessary (legitimate interest) |
| Theme preference (browser local storage, "searcher-theme") | Remembers your dark or light theme | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary (providing the requested service) |
| Offer draft (browser session storage) | Keeps an unfinished offer form while the tab is open | Until the tab is closed | Strictly necessary (providing the requested service) |
Your language preference is set by the language prefix in the address (e.g. /en); no separate cookie is stored for it. Without session cookies you cannot sign in, so strictly necessary cookies are used without asking for consent and cannot be turned off.
3. Analytics, advertising and third-party content
Searcher currently uses no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we later add an analytics cookie to measure page use, we will place it only after you have given prior, explicit consent; no analytics cookie runs without it and this policy will be updated first.
Some photos and company icons on some pages are loaded from third-party servers (image hosting and icon services). When your browser requests them your IP address and browser details reach those servers; they set no cookies and do not process the data on Searcher's behalf.
4. Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block strictly necessary cookies you cannot sign in. For more information write to kvkk@searcher.com.
